Town Hall Meeting on CC&R revisions

A special Town Hall meeting has been set for Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 6 pm to 9 pm in the main clubhouse to solicit your feedback and comments on the proposed revisions to the Association's CC&Rs.

It is crucial that our CC&Rs be amended and updated because of the many changes in laws affecting our Association. The current CC&Rs were approved in 2009. Many reasonable restrictions and conditions included in our old CC&Rs were eviscerated by legislation sponsored by lobbyists for special interest groups and need to be revised to be compliant with current laws, particularly with regard to rentals.

So please bring your ideas and suggestions -- along with your neighbors -- and help us keep Highland Palms a vibrant senior-friendly community.

Coffee and light refreshments will be available.

Non-binding poll on the general membership meetings

The Board is considering changing the day and time of the monthly general membership meetings, currently held at 10 am on the second Monday of each month except in July and August and in the month of the Annual Meeting.

The Board believes the best days are Tuesday or Wednesday and the best times are either 10 am or 7 pm. The purpose of this poll is solicit Member preferences for the proposed days and times and whether the Association should hold membership meetings in July and August, which are currently dark.

The poll will run through Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 and the results will be announced at the Board meeting on Dec. 9 and the general membership meeting on Dec. 13. To protect the privacy of Members taking the poll, the results will not be visible online.
