Your Homeowners Association is governed under a plethora of federal, state, and local laws, principally California’s Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act.

In addition, all Members of the Association are bound by a body of governing documents codifying the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs), Bylaws, and other policies and rules listed in the following table. You need to be aware of and familiar with these documents because you have agreed to abide by them and you can be penalized for violations.
